In 1962, Ridge made its first Monte Bello, and two years later its first zinfandel. Since this time, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare vineyards where climate, soil, and variety are ideally matched.
In the October 2015 issue of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, writer Jeb Dunnuck reviews both current and older Ridge releases, of which seventeen received scores of ninety points or higher. Highlights included the following:
2013 Geyserville – 93 Points
2013 Lytton Springs – 92+ Points
