The 2011 version of the Chateau Petit Bocq is so dark with its deep purplish-blue reflections that it is impossible to see the bottom of your glass. Already well marked out by its refinement under luxurious wood, its aroma carries appetising suggestions of grilled and smoked notes. After aeration, it evolves towards a fresher range and expresses a nice selection of red and black fruits. The power of the tannins is surprising as soon as it hits the palate. They give the same delicious sensation as dark chocolate melting on the tongue. This gourmet picture is completed by the presence at the table of some delicately spiced touches just to perk up the bouquet. The pleasantly granular feel of the tannins stays on the tastebuds for a considerable time. A seductive bouquet of coffee ice cream complements them until the moment arrives for the next sip.
